There are a number of ways you can partner with us and support the ministry
Normal Activities:
- Meetings with meals: First Sunday of the month (excluding January).
- First Stage house, (capacity 12) with full program
- Second Stage houses, (capacity 12) transitional
- Street van outreach: In the City and Logan, every Wednesday & Sunday evening.
- Food parcels, clothes and blanket provision
- Furniture Ministry: recipients of services have been homeless who are exiting crisis situations, such as family domestic violence, or illness and many have children. We pick up furniture donations from the public, then re-gift to those in need
- Saturday fundraising Car washes
The key areas of need at present are:
- Volunteers, especially admin assistance & mentor volunteers for first stage
- Volunteers for furniture ministry.
- Vehicle maintenance.
Donations
‘Fishers Of Men’ is a registered charity. Donations $2 and over are tax deductible.
Donations of food from various businesses help provide for the weekly meals, and furniture donations are re-gifted to those in need, while monetary contributions from the Car Wash and donations help keep the vehicles on the road, the street vans operating, and the houses working.
