There are a variety of ways that you are able to help us raise funds to support the ministry of Fishers of Men

Car Wash

Fishers of Men holds 2 car washes every Saturday to raise funds for other aspects of the ministry.  The men working at the car wash are residents of the discipleship houses.  The work encourages them to become participants in a valuable community cause, assisting the ministry while they in turn can work off any SPER fines they have with the voluntary work registered as community service, (up to $1000 per month).

The car washes are at:

  • The Caltex @ 297 Pinelands Rd, Sunnybank Hills, Qld
  • The BP @ 2806 Logan Rd, Underwood, Qld

Hours of operation are 9am-4pm

Chocolate Fundraiser

Occasionally Fishers of Men participates in a chocolate drive as a fundraiser. People get chocolate and Fishers of Men raises funds – a win-win scenario!

School Fundraisers

Schools have held fundraising events for FOM, collecting canned food, blankets and donations.  A big thank you goes to Calvary Christian College, (both campuses), Citipointe Christian College, and Westfield Christian College who have all contributed generously.

Church Support

Many Churches provide supplies and contribute resources, including Real Life Church, who provides meat for FOM’s dinner for the homeless on Sunday nights once a month and host our homeless Christmas party; and New Heart Baptist, who contribute financially and with donations of blankets and men’s clothes.

Many Churches have contributed volunteers at different times, including: Real Life Church, New Heart Baptist, the Vine @ Springwood, (ACC), Church of Christ, Hillsong, Rhema, The River of Life, plus several independent fellowships.  Awesome people all contributing their time freely!

Local Business Support

FOM is grateful to many local businesses who support the work and ministry.  Some of these have given generously of their produce over many years and it would be hard for us to continue without this.  Many thanks goes to: “Fresh on Allamanda fruit shop” at Daisy Hill, Bethel Funerals, Big Gun Butcher, Kiss My Fish, Dominos, (Springwood), KFC, (Springwood), JC Signs, Koorong Bookstore, Canelec, Logan City Council, Drakes, Rochedale, Loaves and Fishes, the [email protected] Underwood, and the Caltex @ Sunnybank Hills.
