There are many ways you can support the life-changing work of Fishers of Men.
We are a grassroots charity bringing hope and practical help to people in need across Brisbane and Logan. Each week, we serve hundreds of hot meals, deliver food parcels, provide clothing and furniture, and walk alongside men on the journey to recovery.
How You Can Help
Volunteer
Join our team of passionate volunteers! Whether you’re cooking meals, helping on our street vans, sorting clothing donations, or mentoring men in our recovery houses—there’s a place for you.
Donate
Your generosity makes a direct impact. One-off or monthly donations help us continue feeding the hungry, housing the vulnerable, and restoring hope.
Fundraising
Support our mission by visiting the Rochedale Car Wash, grabbing a meal from our Food Truck, or shopping at one of our Garage Sales. Every dollar raised helps us feed, support, and care for those doing it tough.
Normal Activities:
- Monthly Meetings with meals, first Sunday of the month.
- First Stage house, (capacity 12) with full program
- Second Stage houses, (capacity 12) transitional
- Street van outreach, Wednesday and Sunday nights
- Food parcels, clothes and blanket provision
- Furniture Ministry: recipients of services have been homeless who are exiting crisis situations, such as family domestic violence, or illness and many have children. We pick up furniture donations from the public, then re-gift to those in need
- Cherbourg Outreaches
- Saturday fundraising Car washes
The key areas of need at present are:
- Volunteers, especially admin assistance & mentor volunteers for first stage
- Another 2nd stage house, as demand exceeds supply.
- A place to store excess furniture.
- Vehicle maintainance.
Donations
‘Fishers Of Men’ is a registered charity. Donations $2 and over are tax deductible.
Donations of food from various businesses help provide for the weekly meals, and furniture donations are re-gifted to those in need, while monetary contributions from the Car Wash and donations help keep the buses on the road, the street van operating, Tuesday outreaches and Cherbourg biannual outreach operating.

Volunteer Guidelines
