Cherbourg Outreach
Good News BBQ
I was very humbled by the recent Outreach to Cherbourg. The team was amazing, the team leaders, (Corneliu and Sulata) even more so, and it was largely due to their huge enthusiasm that the outreach went so well. Contrasted to last years, when the whole outreach was impacted by a tragic suicide the morning that we were scheduled to be there, this occasion was typified by prayer. Spurned on by the awareness that the devil had hampered our efforts so much previously, this time, we prayed fervently before, during and after going to Cherbourg. The results were astounding, there was a joy, light, and peace that hadn’t been there before, and there was a sense of the darkness fleeing before us in the spiritual atmosphere. Stories of answered prayer, miracles, salvations and God’s leading throughout encouraged the team. Yet, it was the work done behind the scenes – spiritually speaking that had set the tone. Thank you, Jesus, for the breakthrough! Thank you team, and Corneliu and Sulata for the light and love you shared!

Team Leaders
We witnessed an incredible move of God in our lead up to and on our Cherbourg Mission on Friday 21st– Saturday 22nd of August!
Over 45 Disciples of Jesus banded together in fervent prayer and eager planning in the weeks leading up to our trip.
As our Team unified and cried out to the Lord for Cherbourg, God commanded the blessings to overflow and overflow it did!
There was an outpouring of praise, worship, and prayer on Friday night at the Les Stewart Memorial Sports Complex in the heart of Cherbourg. A Sister in Christ from Cherbourg at one point took hold of the mic, testified powerfully of what the Lord had done in her life, how He brought her out of darkness into His marvellous Light over 5 years ago! The same Sister also live steamed our Worship Night which prompted another sister in Christ in Murgon, to drop what she was doing and speed straight to the Complex where the presence of God was so tangible!
That evening this Sister in Christ who sped from Murgon posted videos onto community pages about our event the following day and all the giveaways such as clothing, toys, shoes, children’s gifts, BBQ, children’s activities, worship and preaching event encouraging them to come along and join in! And they certainly came!!
Intentional outreach and evangelism in Murgon and Cherbourg on both days resulted in many precious souls hearing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, receiving healing, or a word of encouragement. As multiple teams went out, they brought many of these precious souls back to the event (even by bus!). Many people gave their life to Christ and were so open to receiving follow up in discipleship! As a side note: few Volunteers are heading back to Murgon and Cherbourg in a couple of weeks to reconnect and begin a discipleship pathway!
Seeing multiple Disciples of Jesus from within the surrounding Cherbourg and Murgon region who have felt quite isolated from the Body of Christ connect as one was a huge testimony and only a work that God could do! We were even so blessed to have brothers and sisters from the region join in on the volunteer work and also bless us with beautiful praise songs! We look forward to partnering and collaborating with these brothers and sisters for future Fishers of Men visits to Cherbourg!
Thank you so much to all the incredible Volunteers who helped to make this mission fruitful and possible!! Some travelled from Hervey Bay, Kingaroy, Gold Coast, Rochdale, Logan, and Redlands and more! Every area from Transportation, BBQ, Clothing/ Gifts, Kids Activities, Worship, Preaching, Radio, Coffee & Pizza, Set up and Pack down, Prayer, Accommodation, and even Gate Keeping was covered by this Jesus loving and dedicated Team! You are all dearly loved and so appreciated!
