Fishers of Men receives furniture donations from the public then gives it to people in need
As part of our response to homelessness and supporting people in crisis situations, Fishers of Men receives furniture donations from the public. In many instances we can pick up donated items from around Brisbane using utes and trailers, and we charge a pickup fee to help cover the costs of collection: $250 for northside, $150 for southside, and $50 for Rochedale South and surrounding suburbs. This furniture is then held until we receive a call from someone in need and, as the Lord provides, furniture is delivered to people in response to that need for free.
Recipients of services include: families, (including women and children escaping domestic violence), people escaping crisis and cycles of homelessness or addiction, and the general public in need.
